Vorwerk flooring is one of the leading international suppliers of high-quality carpets, carpet tiles and elastic, organic flooring. Vorwerk flooring and Aisslinger, whose studio is based in Berlin, have now added a new facet to floor architecture within the context of the collection: Aisslinger\u2019s most recent designs enhance the form language expressed in TEXtiles through completely new geometries and combination options. Interior designers, planners and other clientele can choose between calm, rhythmic repeat patterns and vivid, graphically oriented compositions: The modularity of the carpet-tile elements makes it possible to create absolutely new images and worlds of colour on the floor simply by modifying the way the tiles are laid.<\/p>\n
For instance, the colour and shape of the expressive geometries entitled \u201cTRAPEZ\u201d and \u201cDARTS+DIAMONDS\u201d generate a three-dimensional effect that astonishes depending on the angle of view and is ingeniously broken up by the alternating surface texture. \u201cTRIPOD+PRISMA\u201d are reminiscent of the chains in molecular structures, a sophisticated look for demanding floor architecture. \u201cSTRIPE\u201d reinterprets the classic form of the wooden plank.<\/p>\n The \u2018tried-and-true\u2019 free-form carpet tiles \u201cCRYSTAL_S\u201d, \u201cCRYSTAL_L\u201d and \u201cPARTITION\u201d by Hadi Teherani are equally a part of the overall collection. Additional variations in colours and textures mean that they too can now be combined with even greater diversity.<\/p>\n The TEXtiles tile programme consists of 8 carpet products from Vorwerk flooring, each of them one-of-a-kind in terms of visual look and tactile feel. In the plain-hued segment, the newly developed, tufted \u201cElara\u201d is available in 24 colours, the short-pile smooth velours \u201cForma\u201d in 15 colours, \u201cFrisea\u201d, a frieze bursting with character in 18 colours, and \u201cArena\u201d, a classic with a smooth, discreet mottling, is equally available in 18 colours. The design assortment is topped off by \u201cStrada\u201d in 6 colours \u2013 a finely structured carpet whose patterning is reminiscent of pinstripes \u2013 and \u201cStrada Design\u201d in 12 variations. All in all, the revised TEXtiles carpet-tile collection now offers a range of 110 colours.<\/p>\n Vorwerk had already brought a pathbreaking innovation to the market for carpet tiles as far back as 2008: TEXtiles SL. When coating carpet tiles with a backing, this was the first time a manufacturer was able to refrain from using the conventional albeit ecologically alarming substances bitumen and PVCs.
