\nHand-made carpets, being one of rare representations of Azerbaijan national applied handicraft and having some advantages among other Caucasian nations, are notable for their specific beauty. “Azerkhalcha” has played a special role in the preserving handmade carpet-making profession to the present days.<\/p>\n
“Azerkhalcha” has functioned since 1928.<\/b>\u00a0It is the biggest state enterprise of handmade carpet-making production in Caucasus. About 95% of the enterprise’s production is realized on international markets, and the annual capacity accounts 25000 square meters. At the current time, there is a wide range production for sale in the storehouses of the Union..<\/p>\n
In 1998, the production of “Azerhalcha” was twicely honored with high international awards. These were –\u00a0“The Best Trademark”<\/b>\u00a0prize in Sweden and\u00a0“The Best Quality Production”<\/b>\u00a0prize and golden medal in the USA. The period of revival of “Azerhalcha” started from the day the Azerbaijan Republic got its independence. It was just the time when out company directly came to the international market, and started to represent not the USSR, but Azerbaijan. And Azerbaijani carpet has achieved a big success. The management of “Azerkhalcha” in that honored and at the same time responsible time was given to\u00a0Kamil Aliyev.\u00a0<\/p>\n
