{"id":10755,"date":"2025-03-21T14:16:43","date_gmt":"2025-03-21T14:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/?p=10755"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:17:42","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T14:17:42","slug":"high-school-students-in-gaziantep-decipt-gaza-s-tragedy-on-their-canvases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/en\/high-school-students-in-gaziantep-decipt-gaza-s-tragedy-on-their-canvases.html","title":{"rendered":"High School Students in Gaziantep Depict Gaza\u2019s Tragedy on Their Canvases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students at Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Fine Arts High School have captured the tragedy unfolding in Gaza through their artwork.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the \u201cTears of Gaza\u201d project organized by the Provincial Directorate of National Education, students from the school\u2019s painting department produced a series of art pieces.<br \/>\nTwenty-six works reflecting the drama in Gaza were exhibited at the school\u2019s gallery for art enthusiasts to view.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10751\" src=\"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"747\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4.jpg 747w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4-130x87.jpg 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 747px) 100vw, 747px\" \/>Provincial Director of National Education Erdal K\u0131l\u0131n\u00e7<\/strong> remarked that the students expressed the suffering in Gaza on their canvases, effectively transforming it into art:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy depicting a tragedy that is unprecedented in human history\u2014one that resembles genocide\u2014our students are carrying it into the future through their creations. With the vision provided by our educational model, these young people give us hope that future generations will be able to shape our civilization\u2019s outlook. I thank all the teachers and students who contributed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art teacher H\u00fcseyin Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m<\/strong> explained that the project aimed to raise social awareness and a sense of collective responsibility:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI commend our students for their sensitivity. For years, history has shown there are no real winners in war\u2014only profound suffering and tragedy. The children addressed this issue with great sensitivity and clearly conveyed their feelings. This project involved two and a half months of intense effort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>One of the students, \u0130rem Hezer<\/strong>, said her painting focuses on a mother and child caught in the midst of war:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to convey what they\u2019re going through in my work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10753\" src=\"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"747\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-3.jpg 747w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-3-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/halisiad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-3-130x87.jpg 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 747px) 100vw, 747px\" \/>Emine Ezel \u015eahin<\/strong>, another student, said she felt the agony of Gaza while creating her piece:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was deeply saddened when I imagined how it would feel if the same happened to us, and it was even more painful to realize we can do so little.
